The base is made of plastic and it’s wide enough to provide stability while you’re pumping. The handle grips feel very solid and your hands won’t slip off as you’re pumping your tires. 

The pump also integrates a holster that is used to hold other adapters, so you always have them at hand when needed. The whole pump is made of metal and plastic. The cylinder and the gauge are both made of metal, but the latter is encased in plastic. The handle and the base of the pump are made of hard plastic. Please note that using this pump the first time can be bit puzzling, as the valve chuck basically works backwards compared to pretty much every other pump you’ve ever used. Sliding the lever up will lock it, while sliding it down will unlock it.

As advertised, it would seem that the AerGun pump is a favorite amongst professional cyclists.  The X-1000 is compatible with both Presta and Schrader valves, so nothing too impressive so far. We do like that the handle is very wide and easy to use even for those with larger hands. With a maximum pressure of 160 PSI, inflating your bike tires should be a breeze. Ball and bladder needles are included, which means you can use the pump for more than just your bike. It’s suitable for inflating pool toys and accessories, basketballs, soccer balls and footballs, but it probably works with inflatable mattresses or strollers too. 

The gauge itself is pretty easy to read and features a red arrow that acts as an indicator, so you can better see when you’ve reached your desired pressure. You also get the ball and bladder needed to inflate other objects that don’t require more than 160 PSI, like sports balls, pool accessories, inflatable toys and the likes. The pump seems to do a great job in inflating tires without any significant air loss once the valve is removed. However, we would have liked to see a longer hose, as this one only measures about 2 feet in length. Even so, the rotating connections make it easier to move the hose around. The sharp edges of the base might scratch a delicate floor, but if you’re using the pump outside or in the garage, you shouldn’t be too worried about that.

With a 4.5 out of 5 rating from more than 3,000 customer reviews, the Vibrelli floor pump ended up on our radar.  We were curious to see why this is the best selling product on Amazon and why do people love about it so much? We first discovered that the T-valve allows for rapid switching between Presta and Schrader and promises no significant leaks when removing the hose from the tire. The maximum pressure is 160 PSI, which is pretty standard for a floor pump like this. The steel barrel is strong, providing good response to the user. The nylon base measures 12 inches and seems strong enough to withstand some pressure. 

So far, everything seems to fall within the limits of a normal floor pump. But here’s one this that we really liked about the Vibrelli: it comes with a small puncture kit that you can conveniently place in your pocket and may be of service in case you end up having a flat tire. The pump also comes with 5 year warranty. The gauge itself is easy to read and provides great accuracy. The pump also comes with ball needle valves (you already know what these serve for). A nice additional feature is the pump storage clip, that keeps the needles out of the way, but still within reach, should you need them.

You know how we like to say that the devil is in the details? The Vibrelli seems to have included lots of small features that make up a great product. The nozzle comes with a locking feature, which is a small switch that you can flip once you’ve attached the hose to the tire’s valve. This clip will make sure that no air escapes.

To end our series of bike floor pump reviews, we’ve chosen to talk about the Serfas TCPG. As with all the models we’ve reviewed in today’s articles, the TCPG comes with valves suitable for Presta and Schrader, and all you have to do is flip the level and let the pump’s head adapt. The alloy barrel and the sturdy nylon handle and base provide security that the pump will stay on its feet while you’re inflating your tires and your hands won’t slip as you’re doing so. The pump comes with a hose caddie which is always a better option that leaving the hose on the floor and accidentally stepping on it. As with all the models we’ve spoken about earlier, this one also features needle adapters, to inflate other objects aside from the bike’s tires.

While the product does come with a lifetime warranty, it doesn’t cover any damage caused by human error, heat or other form of physical damage. The action and response of the pump are very good and you will be able to inflate tires really fast. The price is also decent, compared to more expensive models that actually have less features. The gauge comes with a red dial that makes it e4asy for you to see the current PSI status.  Even so, it would have been nice to place the gauge somewhere closer to the upper end of the pump, so no one would have to bend down to read it.
